Salesforce unveiled a new portfolio of "job-ready" Agentforce AI agents on September 11, each purpose-built for a specific business function: Casey handles customer service across voice, SMS, WhatsApp and web chat; Paige manages IT and HR requests via Slack; Carter drives shopper discovery and checkout; Hunter researches and runs outbound sales pipelines; Marshall orchestrates supply-chain back-office work; Piper qualifies inbound leads; and Fin resolves complex customer-experience workflows.
Six of the seven agents are generally available immediately, with Hunter still in pilot and targeting a November 2026 GA release. The agents run on Salesforce's existing Customer 360 data platform and operate within a company's own business rules, permissions and security setup, and a new long-horizon runtime lets them pursue a goal across days or weeks rather than a single chat session.
Salesforce says Agentforce and Slack have together delivered 7 billion "Agentic Work Units" to date, including 3.2 billion in the second quarter alone, with customers reporting task resolution rates of 50-90% and up to a 4x increase in conversation volume. The announcement lands just days ahead of Dreamforce 2026 (September 15-17 in San Francisco), alongside a new governance layer called the Trusted Enterprise AI Harness for companies juggling multiple AI agent platforms.
