Tesla reported third-quarter earnings per share of $0.48, ahead of the roughly $0.45 analysts expected, on revenue of about $28.05 billion. Revenue was essentially in line with forecasts and about flat from a year earlier, when EPS was $0.50.

The company said it now expects 2026 capital expenditure of about $20 billion, funded mainly from operating cash flow, with spending set to keep rising for the Robotaxi, Optimus humanoid robot, solar, compute and semiconductor fab projects. Tesla also reported more than 1.7 million paid Full Self-Driving customers, with about half on subscriptions for the first time.

On the call, executives said external Optimus deliveries are expected around the end of next year and that the Cybercab robotaxi service in Austin will expand to Dallas next month. Figures come from earnings summaries and may be revised once the full filing is reviewed.
