Public Citizen reports that 515 individuals and organizations have each given at least $1 million to super PACs in the 2026 election cycle, for a combined $4.2 billion. That is about 73% of all super PAC contributions from individuals, corporations and nonprofits.

Elon Musk is the largest single donor with at least $445 million, roughly 10% of the total. The other 514 donors account for about $3.8 billion. Democracy Now reported on October 30 that corporations have also spent at least $737 million this cycle, a 60% increase over 2024, citing Public Citizen.

The findings come days before Tuesday's midterm elections. Public Citizen co-president Lisa Gilbert is quoted in the release on the concentration of political money among a few hundred donors.
