At Meta Connect 2026 on September 23, Meta unveiled its first camera-free smart glasses, the Ray-Ban Meta Audio line, alongside a new pocket-sized AI companion called Muse Charm. The audio glasses ship October 13 starting at $349, built around open-ear audio and all-day AI assistance with roughly 12 hours of battery life across new frame styles.
Muse Charm pairs with Meta's Muse AI assistant through a real-time voice model packed into a device about the size of an AirPods case, with a 2-inch touchscreen and built-in 5G connectivity so it works without a paired phone. Meta says the gadget ships later this year, though pricing has not been announced.
The launches expand Meta's wearable AI push: the company says it will offer more than 100 glasses styles across Ray-Ban, Oakley and its own Meta Glasses brand by the end of 2026, alongside a $449 Gen 3 Ray-Ban Meta model and new $1,299 VR glasses due in spring 2027.
