AMD shares jumped as much as 10% on Monday, lifting the chipmaker above a $1 trillion market value for the first time. The stock hit an intraday record of $615.52 and has gained about 25% during a five-day winning streak.

The rally extends a blockbuster year: AMD stock is up more than 180% in 2026, driven by demand for AI data-center chips. Its Data Center unit reported sales of $6.7 billion, up 107% from a year earlier.

AMD joins Nvidia, Broadcom, TSMC, Micron and SK hynix in the trillion-dollar chip club and gets there ahead of rival Intel. It still trails Nvidia, which is valued at about $5.4 trillion.
