Yes. The Auto subtitles quick tool runs OpenAI Whisper locally in your browser (WebAssembly/WebGPU, no upload): pick the language and model size, and it creates editable subtitle clips with correct timing, TikTok-style word captions if you like, plus a transcript editor and SRT/TXT export.
Projects and imported media are autosaved to your browser's local storage (IndexedDB). Reopen the page and continue where you left off, or export a .ttvp.json project file as a backup.
Need a quick fix instead of a full edit? Try File Compressor to shrink a video or Video Fixer to repair a file that won't upload. Developers: the legacy server-side API is documented at /video-editor-api/docs.
