Google began rolling out Gemini 4 Argon on October 13, opening it to Google AI Pro ($20/month) and AI Ultra (from $99/month) subscribers in the Gemini app and Search AI Mode. Access inside developer tools such as Google Antigravity and AI Studio is limited to the Ultra plan. The model first reached selected cyber defenders on September 30.

The headline spec is a 1 million output token limit, up from 64,000. Google reports top scores on the Vals Index for legal, financial and coding tasks and 87% on the Embodied Reasoning benchmark; these figures are company-reported. API pricing is a launch promo of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens through November 30, then $4 and $20.

Google says its engineers used Argon in Antigravity to clean up six million lines of legacy Chrome code, and that it halved frontend comment server load on YouTube. Reports on exact developer access differ between outlets, so check current docs before building on it.
