SoundHound AI closed its acquisition of LivePerson on September 4, merging the voice and agentic AI company's OASYS platform with LivePerson's enterprise digital-messaging infrastructure. The all-stock deal, valued at roughly $43 million with LivePerson holders receiving 0.47 SoundHound shares apiece, closed after 97% of LivePerson stockholders voted in favor.

As part of the transaction, SoundHound retired LivePerson's outstanding debt, leaving the combined company debt-free. The merged business now serves 25 of the Fortune 100, holds a portfolio of more than 750 patents, and processes billions of customer interactions annually. SoundHound says it is targeting more than $500 million in future revenue from LivePerson's existing customer base alone.

CEO Keyvan Mohajer said the combined company is "delivering the most complete AI platform to the most comprehensive enterprise customer base," while incoming CFO John Collins said his focus will be on integration, cost discipline and profitability.
