Moore Threads, the Beijing-based GPU maker often called one of China's "little Nvidias," has approved a board plan to list H shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange's main board. The company said the move would deepen its international footprint, help attract talent, and strengthen corporate governance.

The filing follows a strong first half of 2026: revenue jumped 147% year-over-year to 1.7 billion yuan ($252 million), while its net loss narrowed sharply to 11.6 million yuan from 271 million yuan a year earlier. Moore Threads debuted on Shanghai's Star Market in December 2025, with shares surging roughly 420% since.

Founded in 2020 by former Nvidia executive Zhang Jianzhong, Moore Threads pivoted from gaming graphics chips to AI accelerators, positioning itself alongside Huawei and Cambricon to fill the gap left by Nvidia's restricted access to the Chinese market under U.S. export controls. A dual listing would give the company fresh capital and international investor access as competition intensifies among Chinese AI-chip makers rushing to go public.
