NASA's Crew-13 mission is set to launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on October 1 at 11:10 a.m. ET, bound for the International Space Station. The crew is commander Jessica Watkins, pilot Luke Delaney, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov.
The trip is expected to take about 7 hours and 50 minutes from launch to docking, which would be the fastest by a US spacecraft in the station's history. Watkins is a geologist, and Delaney, Kutryk and Teteryatnikov are on their first spaceflights or station visits.
Once aboard, the crew will run scientific investigations supporting future lunar and Mars exploration. NASA is streaming launch coverage from 9:20 a.m. ET on NASA+, YouTube and several other platforms.
