Live markets and a DEGIRO portfolio analyzer
Broker is a free market overview for people who invest from the Czech Republic. The Markets section follows about 850 instruments: the koruna against every major currency, world stock indices, ETFs, stocks from the US, Europe and Asia, cryptocurrencies, gold, oil and other commodities, government bond yields and futures. Each instrument has a chart from one day back to its first trading day, and its detail shows the price converted to koruna.
The DEGIRO analysis section reads the CSV exports from your DEGIRO account and turns them into one clear dashboard: what you own, what it is worth at DEGIRO's closing prices, what you earned on closed and open positions, what you paid in fees and your annual return. It helps when DEGIRO's own screens do not show what you need, such as the result per year or which sales passed the Czech 3-year time test.
No account is needed for any of it. The market prices refresh every minute while the page is open, and your DEGIRO files are processed in your browser.
What Broker does
- About 850 instruments in one list: search by name, ticker, symbol or ISIN, sort by gainers or losers, filter by kind.
- Charts from 1 day to Max with open, high, low, previous close, volume, market value, P/E, dividend yield and the 52-week range where the source has them.
- Crypto on its own page: the coins, the crypto funds and the crypto stocks.
- Currencies: live koruna rates, a converter and the official ČNB rate table.
- DEGIRO dashboard: value, unrealized and realized profit (FIFO), the money-weighted annual return (XIRR) and allocation by kind, currency and country.
- Results and costs: realized result per year split at the 3-year time test, every sale with how long it was held, fees per year and the most expensive trades.
- Every transaction searchable by product or ISIN and filtered by kind and year.
- Optional save to your TechTools account, and an English and Czech interface.
How to analyze your DEGIRO portfolio
-
Export Transactions.csv from DEGIRO
In DEGIRO open Inbox, Transactions, set the dates from your first trade until today, press Export and choose CSV.
-
Export Portfolio.csv
Open Portfolio, press Export and choose CSV. This file adds today's holdings and cash at DEGIRO's closing prices.
-

Choose DEGIRO analysis in the menu on the left, or DEGIRO in the bar at the top on a phone.
-
Drop both files
Drag both CSV files onto the drop area or click it to choose them. They are recognized by their content, so the file names do not matter.
-
Press Show my portfolio
The summary opens with the Overview, Holdings, Results, Costs and Transactions tabs. Sign in and press Save if you want to keep the analysis in your account.
Good to know
- Prices come from CNBC's public feeds and may be delayed. Use them for an overview, not to time an order.
- Your last analysis stays in this browser and opens again next time. Press Clear to remove it.
- Dividends and deposits are not in the Transactions and Portfolio exports, so they are not part of the profit or the annual return.
- Without Portfolio.csv the value of each position is estimated from your own last trade price and marked with an asterisk.
- Just looking? Try sample data opens a small made-up portfolio with every tab filled in.
- Nothing here is investment or tax advice.
Frequently asked questions
Where do the market prices come from?
Quotes for about 850 instruments (currencies, indices, ETFs, stocks from the US, Europe and Asia, cryptocurrencies, commodities, bond yields and futures) come from CNBC's public feeds, fetched and cached by TechTools for up to a minute, so they may be delayed. Currencies the feed does not quote against the koruna (CHF, PLN, JPY, HUF, SEK and others) are computed from their dollar rates. The official CZK rates and the converter use the Czech National Bank's daily fixing. Daily closing prices back to each instrument's first trading day (the Dow Jones since 1900, the S&P 500 since 1928, Bitcoin since 2010) are kept in TechTools' own database, updated twice a day, and every chart from one month to Max is drawn from it.
Which cryptocurrencies can I follow?
The Crypto section has Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, BNB, Solana, Dogecoin, Cardano and 26 more coins in US dollars (Coin Metrics reference rates), the CME Bitcoin and Ether futures, the spot Bitcoin, Ether, Solana and XRP funds, and crypto stocks such as Coinbase, Strategy and the Bitcoin miners. Pick one to see its chart over its whole history and its price in Czech koruna.
Which DEGIRO exports do I need?
Two CSV files. Transactions (Inbox, Transactions, from your first trade until today, Export, CSV) gives every buy and sell, so profit, fees and history. Portfolio (Portfolio, Export, CSV) gives today's holdings and cash at DEGIRO's closing prices. Either works alone; together they give real values, unrealized profit per position and your annual return.
Is my financial data safe?
Yes. The files are read entirely in your browser and nothing is sent to any server when you analyze them. Only if you sign in and press Save are they stored in your private TechTools account, so you can reopen them from any device.
How are profit and the annual return calculated?
Your trades are replayed in order with FIFO (first in, first out) lots per instrument, in the EUR values DEGIRO reports, so currency conversions, partial fills and option multipliers come out right. Realized profit is before fees; fees are shown separately. The annual return is money-weighted (XIRR): every buy and sell as it hit your account, fees included, and today's value of what you still hold. Dividends and deposits are not in these two exports.
What is the 3-year time test column?
In the Czech Republic a gain from selling securities you held for more than 3 years is exempt from income tax, and so is a year in which all your sales together stay under 100 000 CZK. The Results tab splits each year's realized result into lots held over and up to 3 years. The figures are in EUR from your DEGIRO data while the tax return uses CZK, so treat them as a guide, not tax advice.
Is Broker free, and do I need an account?
Broker is free. The markets, the currencies and the DEGIRO analysis all work without an account. A free TechTools account is needed only to save an analysis and open it again on another device.
Does the analysis work with brokers other than DEGIRO?
Not yet. The analysis reads DEGIRO's Transactions and Portfolio CSV exports only; files from other brokers are not recognized. The market data does not depend on any broker.
