The dead include four women and two men, among them a British national. Two police officers were hurt during the arrest, one critically.\n\nPolice shot and detained the suspect, a Polish citizen who acted alone, wore military-style clothing and used a semi-automatic rifle similar to an AR-15. Interior Minister Marcin Kierwinski said he appeared fascinated by far-right ideologies. Three bodies, believed to be his immediate family, were found at his home, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said.\n\nTusk called the attack terrorism and announced two days of national mourning. It is Poland's deadliest shooting since the fall of communism in 1989, and follows a series of stabbings in October. Leaders including Germany's Friedrich Merz and Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed condolences."}}
