The two-year-old company is building custom processors and a new memory architecture aimed at cutting the energy use and per-token cost of AI inference, positioning itself as a GPU-free alternative to Nvidia's dominant hardware.\n\nFounded in 2024 by CEO Bernardo Kastrup and Atul Sinha, Euclyd plans to sell physical rack systems and license its IP to chipmakers, with a rollout of physical chip systems targeted for 2028 and thousands of enterprise customers expected by 2030. Former ASML CEO Peter Wennink is joining the company's board as chairman, lending the young startup significant industry credibility.\n\n\"AI is becoming a foundation of economic growth, scientific discovery, and national competitiveness, but its potential will remain constrained unless we fundamentally change the infrastructure beneath it,\" Kastrup said. The deal marks one of Europe's largest AI hardware funding rounds this year, as investors look for alternatives to GPU supply bottlenecks."}}
