The company said intruders accessed one of its AWS environments between March 10 and March 16, 2026, though the breach wasn't widely disclosed until state filings on July 30.\n\nStolen data includes names, mailing addresses, Social Security numbers, passports and driver's licenses, bank account and payment card details, plus medical and clinical records. CareCloud stores patient data for more than 45,000 US healthcare providers, and the affected count is expected to rise as more states are notified. No ransomware group has publicly claimed responsibility, and CEO Stephen Snyder has not commented publicly.\n\nCareCloud reported the incident to the SEC in March and says it has since worked with outside cybersecurity experts and law enforcement. The delay between discovery and public disclosure highlights ongoing scrutiny of how healthcare companies handle breach notifications under HIPAA and state law."}}
