The integration runs through Apple's new MapKit for Automotive SDK and brings turn-by-turn navigation with natural-language directions, real-time traffic, detailed place cards, and intelligent EV routing with battery preconditioning straight to the car's displays.\n\nBeyond navigation, road-level map data will feed Ford's Latitude AI team as it builds the next generation of BlueCruise hands-free driving and in-house autonomous tech. Drivers will not need a separate Apple subscription to use the software once it ships in the vehicle.\n\nApple SVP Eddy Cue called it a way to bring \"the best map experience in the world\" further into drivers' daily lives, while Ford CEO Jim Farley said the deal gives customers \"the ultimate navigation experience.\" Apple says it will not collect user-linked location data through the vehicle integration."}}
