> London-based Humanoid raised $150M in Series A funding at a $1.2 billion valuation, becoming the humanoid robotics sector's newest unicorn.

UK-based robotics startup Humanoid has raised $150 million in the first tranche of a Series A funding round, valuing the company at $1.2 billion and making it the sector's newest unicorn. Sources say the company is seeking another $80-100 million to close out the round by September.

Founded in 2024 by serial entrepreneur Artem Sokolov, Humanoid builds the HMND 01, a 175cm, 70kg dual-armed mobile manipulator aimed at warehouses, logistics hubs and retail environments. Powered by the company's vision-language-action framework KinetIQ, the robot handles tasks like picking, kitting, loading and unloading, and machine feeding, and is already being trialed by industrial customers.

The round underscores investors' continued appetite for humanoid robotics even as broader tech markets wobbled this week, with venture funding into the sector on pace for a record year as companies race to get general-purpose robots working in real warehouses and factories.
